The Manitowoc NEO® 240 is a compact, powerful, and intuitive undercounter ice machine designed to deliver ice right where you need it—in fast-paced restaurant stations, bars, café prep areas, healthcare environments, or any operation requiring convenient access to fresh ice throughout the day. The NEO 240 excels in reliable ice production across a wide range of operating conditions. At its optimal rating of 70°F air and 50°F water, the machine produces up to 215–219 lbs/day depending on cube type, and maintains impressive output even in hot kitchens—160 lbs/day at 90°F air and 70°F water. This makes it an exceptionally stable performer for environments exposed to heat from dishwashers, cooking equipment, and bar service. The machine also uses R-404A refrigerant for commercial-grade cooling and features a durable compressor capable of delivering 2,700 to 3,300 BTU/hr.

The Manitowoc NEO 240 combines rugged materials with thoughtful engineering. The cabinet features a clean, modern design while housing reinforced internal components that withstand continuous commercial use. The forward-sliding bin is one of its most notable advantages—technicians can access refrigeration components for maintenance without moving the entire machine, which significantly reduces downtime and service cost. The sealed food-zone is designed to block moisture and contaminants, while removable elements such as the damper door, water trough, and distribution tube simplify deep cleaning.
The unit is supported by 6″ adjustable legs and features well-positioned rear utility connections for streamlined installation. Images on page 2 clearly show the airflow pattern—air intake from the right and air exhaust to the left—helping operators plan placement beneath counters or beside equipment.

The NEO line is offers several smart features that improve sanitation and reduce machine downtime. Operators benefit from the intuitive front display panel with dedicated Clean, Delay, and Service indicators that communicate machine status at a glance. The delay function allows users to pause ice production during slow periods, reducing energy usage and preventing unnecessary ice buildup.
Cleaning is streamlined through tool-free removal of the bin, air filter, and key food-zone components. The removable bin air filter, shown in the spec sheet images, helps maintain optimal airflow and protects internal systems from dust and debris. Inside the food zone, AlphaSan antimicrobial is integrated into select components to inhibit bacterial growth between cleanings. For even more advanced sanitation, operators can add the optional LuminIce® Virus and Bacteria Inhibitor, which provides active microbial control within the machine.
